Hi gang, I'm searching for a way to create this but using java or something similar so that it's smoother and you can actually see it sliding when clicked. I need to create a left and a right panel.
Has anyone seen anything like this and can point me in the right direction? I did check out moo.fx and I saw the Fx.Slide there, and that may be what I go with, but I'm not totally sure it will work with both a left and right panel. I could create it in flash, but I currently suck at flash and would like to try to find a different way. Thanks in advance! ~B

Heh, yep. Can I just for-warn everyone in all my posts today that I am all doped up on cough syrup today? Bear with me.

Hey Toon! Thanks! Think it could go on both the right left of the page at the same time? I'll find out I think! Thanks again.

OKay, I don't think I can use this to make one on each side of the webpage.
Here's what I need to create; two hidden sections on either side of the page, with enough space between them to place an image. When one section is clicked, it moves into the page covering the center image, and clicking the second section pushes the first section out of the way. The part I am having trouble figuring out is how to do it without these "blocks" over lapping each other. I honestly have no idea how to do this, it'll be my first try at something like this, so any direction would be awesome. Yes. Awesome.

Don't know if you considered it, but it could be done with CSS using the Collapse 3-Column Layout.
The columns can contain anything you like whether it be a picture or whatever and the "toggle" buttons could be text, images, virtually anything you want really. You can also place them anywhere on the page. Sitepoint uses it in their pages to give an option to close the left nav menu.

Ahh, that's a good link for future use, but I can't use it here. This client wants something smoother, he wants to see the panel actually slide back and forth. So, it's either flash or js or something else I don't know about... :(
Truthfully, I'm not sure if I can do this one or not.
