Default Page not viewing properly in IE

I have been asked if I can do anything to get site page and others like it viewable properly in IE.

I went to www.browsers.org to get screenshots and here's what it looks like in IE
http://www.robcubbon.com/images/sample-page-ie.gif

Here's what it should look like:

Here's the page:
MisseldineZiga - Retention, Page 3

Anyone have any ideas. I've never seen those boxes behind text before in a browser.

PNGs don't work in IE6 - hence the grey where the transparency should be.

Can't you make it a bit more complicated? :)

Thank you very much, PR Design.

Thanks, PR Design. What would you do, employ one of the hacks or change all the PNGs to GIFs and the code? I'm swaying towards the latter.

And, another question, does anyone use PNGs in a website for a client. I've looked at the stats for my website and at least 10% of visitors use IE6 or earlier.

I'd use a hack. They do work, and it will make your design look better.

Interesting. Forgive me for all these questions but I've never used PNGs before. I'm starting to read around the subject just now. Do you have a preferred method of employing the hack. Or am I best off with Googling and trial and error?

I'm not quite with you, ddwebguru. I thought we'd identified the problem being a PNG issue. Is there anything else wrong with the site?
