Printers who don't charge VAT on certain runs will be very popular with graphic designers who aren't VAT registered. (UK)

mmmmm that is a good point, though I son't know how that would work without possible being tax illegal or something. I imagine there is something there. You know what the government is like

Yeah, I'm not sure how it works either. But there are printers out there who offer it.

You only have to be making over £67,000 in the UK to have to be VAT registered; you can register voluntarily beneath that figure, but only by personal choice ;)

thanks for all the above advice.

And we are actually going to offer things like spot UV and certain stock upgrades. We also have a bespoke printing section where people can email for a bespoke quote and we will get it done for them. There is also going to be an easy upload page in the checkout process, so that you would not have to faff around emailing or posting off artwork!

The real problem now is getting people to see the site. I've done some research and it seems that search engines are the best way. I asked a few graphic designers if they would ever look in a trade magazine for ads to seach for a printer but all of them said no!

Any advice?
