online ad sites

Hi,
I am looking for online ads to place within my blog. What i blog about is web design trends, resources, news and other information. Now i want to stay away from adsense and adwords as i find there layout horrible, but i want to keep it on a pay per click or provide site badges or images that provide a referral.
