Alphabasic Identity

This is just a little self initiated project. Alphabasic is a small, not-for-profit record label who release mostly electronic music. This is just a portfolio piece.

I'm thinking of losing the tagline as it's not really necessary or appropriate.

Top one is nice, love the simple icon, but tighten the type a little, it's very loose and can look a little disjointed - illustrated better on the dark background

hey man awesome logo. the symbol of the stylized turntable is good although quite heavy next to the logotype. it would be worth trying the outer part of the deck in outline and keep he record bit solid that way it would accompany the typeface beautifully.

Definitely prefer it as shown in the top version. I may suggest making the "hole in the record" a bit bigger though

Tightened the text and reduced symbol size. Also dropped the tagline. Your thoughts?

I'm not sure yet. I might do up some letterheads, envelopes and business cards. Would be worth it to bulk out the old 'folio.

I love the black on white one. The way you used the A to be the record and playing-arm, very nice!

Widened the s on the advice of a few people. Also trying out the symbol in outline.
