critic/your thoughts please

Ok, Ive just finished this for a client:




They are really pleased with it but just thought I would get some more professional design views for it . . . personally I like it!

OH, MY BAD!!! lol - a logo - and just for the record, if your thinking its not gunna look so good scaled down, the client said it didnt need to b used extremely small! ;)

At first look I didn't like the combination of colors, but somehow it's really interesting ...

The font isn't stylized enough for me, it's just a plain typeface, with regular spacing, uppercase first letters, lowercase mid letters. It makes the overall appearance very plain despite what colour, shape etc you use. A good 60% of the logo is made up from type so making it so plain and uninteresting effects the whole thing. Hope this helps.

i'm not a fan of the gradients.
i also think you could get by with less "dots"
to me it seems like (with all the dots) that you are tying to force a punchline to a joke that isn't funny. i would only put 3 - 5 and see what that did for it.

WTF is that supposed to mean.

I dare say that there are designers on this forum that still work with a pencil; how crude is that. It doesn't mean their work is any less worthy however, or that they themselves are any less talented. The tools used are an irrelevance, only the end production is important.

Arkady's right in that respect - the medium is irrelevant.

I actually quite like the logo, and I think that what everyone has to remember is that some people are only looking for a nice looking, simple logo.
