Thanks everyone - I appreciate all your comments and understand what you are saying.

Yesterday a recieved a pack in the post from the client with a hard copy of everything the company is using the logo on...even at 3cm wide I do not think the logo looks bad.

I posted it up for some critique as Im fairly new to this and its a piece that personally, I am pleased with for the time that I spent on it.

I will take into consideration any comments that have been made for my next project.

Phil Johns

You'll have to take a photo and let us have a look at the finished articles

I agree that the typeface is too ‘plain’ and the circles are too many
and the whole thing too well balanced… personally I think something with
dream should be a bit more ‘dreamy’ and colorful!
However these things do depend on personal ‘taste’ and aesthetics

Personally I agree, however the client already had an up and running website and wanted the colour scheme to stay the same.

solution, don't post client work if you are not happy with the results. remake the logo in your eyes and then post. some clients are retarded and like the most lamest stuff ever, arg!!! i just want to knock them over the head and say "the 50's are over!!!!!"

btw that doesn't look traditional buscard size ;/ (3.5"x2") - meant to be that way?

Business cards can be any size. There is a standard sizer of around 95x55 but it is a fairly wide spectrum. Some of the most interesting cards are not standard...

I agree on the clients thing. Don't forget, in many cases you can present the work as you would have done it on your site, or show it as a concept in progress.

ya any size is good. just didn't know if it was supposed to be traditional size because of the perspective. When u put that effect on it, it tends to make the image look 'stretched'.
