my opinion of this is a little jaded as i've been on the same concept for ages, does anyone think i'm along the right track:

I think it looks a tad messy; that "a" seems to be lost up there and I think the "ltd" needs to be alot smaller, as its the most eye-catching thing (and prob least relevant).
Is it "A J Security Services Ltd" yeah?
I would try and have something like

>Security
Services Ltd

I know it's only a concept but tidying up the kerning would make it feel more together at the moment the in-balance makes it seem very scattered.

Theres way to many different levels of text in it in my opinion - this, I think, is what makes the "A" seem messy. I do however like the linking of the two "S" .

Maybe try linking the two "S" still but have them on the correct levels in the format Blue Octo suggested. Then maybe Have the "A" and "J" in the red instead of the Ltd.

it's weird how obvious all these things seem now that you guy's have pointed them out. i'll be working on this more tomorrow so will update tomorrow evening :) thank you for your suggestions and advice, mucho appreciated

Its a good idea but there is to much going on and it hind hard to focus on it.
