Default Critique for a new website

This is a first draught i have created, the music player wont be the MySpace one as its only there for illustrative purposes.

Looks nice, I like the colours, the content needs centrering apart from that nice stuff

Looks fine... very "myspace" though.

have you played with a center design vs left? I like the colors but I think the layout needs to be re-thought

I will try a centered design, would you recommend a background for the centered content?

I'm not sure as I think the gradient sits behind it well.

maybe keep the gradient for the content and add some sort of pattern for the background. Like a retro fabric design.
