Default business card?

I've done a business card, but need some help preparing it for print...

The whole design was created using Illustrator CS3....

basically It's using a spot colour for the logo... but I want the whole card to be gray.. Do i add this in illustrator? or do I ask the print company if they would print on a gray stock? just trying to figure out what would be better for them... If i add the gray in the background, it would then be printed as a full colour job? not a spot colour job?

does this make sense?... I'm horrible at explaining things hehe.

I would use grey stock if you want a grey background it's easier than printing a base colour

remember, you won't have any white areas on the card if you use grey stock
