Default Your toughts about my site

I would like some critics on my site Snowdrip. I started the site about three months ago.

What do you think? What can I improve?

Cheers!

I too love the design - theres only a few things I would change:

Where you state welcome to snowdrip I would change the background of the rounded blobk as it seems like the actual content is starting way too far down

I love the search box aswell but I only realised it was there when I happened to move my mouse up to the back button in my browser - state it as a search button with constant text in it saying so

Hmm, not too keen on the green/blue personally. And the navigation looks a bit lost on the large header. I don't think it's "arty" enough for a PS tutorial site.
The layout and content is good though.

IRT Toon:
Thanks Toon, I am glad you like it. :)

IRT philjohns:
Cheers for your feedback man.
The "Welcome" box or whatever that is named can actually be collapsed by the user. The javascript also saves a cookie so that the setting (Collapsed/or not) will be remembered. But I agree with you... it is a pretty bad placed box.
The reason for why I did not make the searchbox more clear is that I do not belive this is a site you would search for content. If you know what the site contains, then you probobly also know how to find it.

IRT PR Design:
Thanks for your comments as well. When I designed the site I did not have the "PS tutorial site" in mind, it was suppose to be my personal blog. Boy, that went all wrong :P

Again, thanks for your comments... much appreciated. I will keep these things in mind.

I can see where your coming from by saying "I do not belive this is a site you would search for content" but only for some of the content, for isntance I feel I would like to search for a specific tutorial...

Oh, and your tutorial on the 2 minute orbs is brilliant!! Its gunna come in handy soon ;)

I like it... easy to navigate, colors work well together, ads aren't overbearing. I think you'll do well with the tutorials sections. Some nice stuff in there & you made it easy to follow, kept them fairly short yet content rich. Nice !!

and my favorite part... totally Valid XHTML 1.0 Strict & Valid CSS. Good job !!!
