Default logo critique please

sorry to those who gave me some help in another thread about my new logo and it was very helpful, but I thought I would post it in the right section with a new design...please excuse the fact that they are gifs and the lack of fade in one of the business cards...

Version 1:

Version 2:

Any feedback welcome....

It's a much better idea, I like version 2 better as you need the i on the wording

Thanks Kimran - I do agree with you but I am not to keen on the empty space in the middle of the P and J

The second version is the one I prefer, but I too think the white space is a bit odd. What if you lower the J so the bar fits under the loop of the P? It would make it more obviously a J too (I thought it was a 'T' at first). I'm not a big fan of Bauhaus typeface either (especialy that 's' hanging so precariously off the edge of your name!). Bauhaus is kind of fat and awkward. The curves are nice, but maybe try something a little more contemporary like Montag?

Thnaks Lauren, I see where your coming from with the font type on my name so I will deal with that once I am happy with the logo.

I have tried position the 'J' to be under the 'P' and have tried with a lowercase 'j' - niether work - with the 'J' moved down it seems small and stumbed and with a lowercase 'j' it looks like an 'i' .

Here are two additional re-adjustments where the top left of the 'J' has been made smaller and therefore a slightly (and I do say slightly) smaller white space...I have also added a darker grey/green ball inside the white space on one of them as a simple way of filling the gap!

Hmm, I don't think I like the ball in the middle. It doesn't really have a purpose and it kinda looks like an eye! The negative space in the second one looks like a D on its side or a grin, I can't decide which If you are happy with it, then go for it!
