Well, this site will only be of any use to developers, so FF will be standard, and more than likely proper calibrated monitors. I have a bit of flexibility in that a non-developer visiting will be very unlikely. Plus everything necessary fits in the fold.

for an experimental section it seems quite well orginized. i doubt it would look that clean if i were to make one.
i would remove the black bar at the bottom. it echoes the top bar and frames the content nicely but it doesn't really serve a purpose. the tan bar or the more vibrant blue one is too large. reducing the size of one of them would make it seem to have a more natural flow. right now they are fighting for importance. the red text looks good on the tan but on the dark green it doesn't have enough contrast to look good. reds and greens mute each other. check with the color-theory to get a good pick.
