Oh, and lose the splash page. There are few cases in which you want to use those. Look at it from a user perspective, they just clicked a link to get to your site, and now... they have to click another link to get to your site. Make it easy, just have it be your site, with maybe a larger title to bring out what the splash-page did. Mess around, that's my advice. ;-)

WOW to the work - OH DEAR to the site.

I see you are going for the super-basic site in order to emphasise the super-lovely work you have produced, but I reckon you still need the site to work harder and do more for your portfolio, suggestions include thumbnails, subtle flash detail in navigation and when viewing the images? More interesting transitions between images and/or when the image appears? Blurs? Subtle sound effects?

I think your simple design works very well, your website is about your work, not the website and it displays your work well, no distractions, just a great portfolio of work.
