My New Logo for New Logo Busines - HIT ME HARD

Hello,
I am an online designer and this is for my new logo project. Here are some lousy writing about the logo. Your critiques are appreciated. Hit me! English is not my language, but I think you can understand. Ignore any English error please.The Logo is completed, but I am willing to make minor changes if necessary! The tagline is temporary and still looking.. Please give your feedback, comments, suggestions or critiques.

Unique Business & Company Logo Design Services

I wanted a unique name, yet it must says, sounds or read as common tag “logo”. Since it will be an online design services, domain name must be available. As most “logo design” related name already owned or parked, I had no options other than avoiding direct tag “logo” and “design”. A good reason to create a unique name and domain name.

After a short research, I came out with few names using letters and numbers. For example 1090, 1090s, 10go, 10gos, L090, L090s, L0905, Log0, Log05. Then I went online to check the domain names and hoping they are available. I doubted - 10% chances - but I must find out. Not surprising all my favorites were gone. Plan B was to search for dot NET instead of dot COM. Yes, few names were available but with very limited choices.

Made up my mind and registered my L090.NET “L-Zero-Nine-Zero” even though I prefer “One Zero Nine Zero” which is all numbers. Got to let go the “s” or “5” for shorter domain name.

Bulb and pencil/pen are overused? I guess they are. I will use it however! Then I begun with font as my aim was to create a simple logotype. Impact was used for my first online logo business and this time I need other font style. Since ‘O” is in numbers, using Mac Font Book I checked font that have special character for zero “0” with slash. Found the font Krungthep and Silom. Put aside the rest and started with standard font style. Then moved on modification of the font to suit my needs -UNIQUE.

Then I was halted by the wording “.net”. It must comes together with the main logo as “L090.COM” is belong to someone else. Clueless and no idea came so I ignored it for a while. Got to move on. Since L090 sounds like a code and no connection to “logo design” I thought a tagline will help. Again I looked for numbers that look like or will be read as logo design. L090-D35I9N (L Zero Nine Zero - D Three Five One Nine N). Done with my own simple square custom font.

Back to main logotype L090 design. This time, for this project I did not use my sketch book maybe because everything was set in my mind since the first day I thought about setting up a new online logo design business. Without sketch book I used more time thinking :-) and evaluating own my progress. Also extra more time staring at the screen rather than designing.

I was done with the basic font and it looked very plain and empty! Again, staring at the font to fine where I could place a “symbol” to represent my business. The halos in the middle 090 looked like pills (medicine) which were out of context. Need to replace that condensed halos. Yes, condensed typeface providing good area for my pencils/pens. It was easy to fit them there. The slashes in the middle were also good elements that divided the pencil lead and “eraser” area. The whole process took more than 24 working hours to complete.

Now I got my pencils and a pen and ready to rock!

1. the "O's" in "Logo" don't look like "O's"

2. unnecessary wording - chose one tag line, "logo design" is unnecessary

3. the "smALL" bit just looks odd - just say "small" - what are you trying to do with that?

Is it okay or not? Should I keep it. Again the tagline is not firm.

1- it is not "o" but zero
2- Yes! You are right.. just use one "logo design in the tagline" no need to be repeated.
3- as the other guy said - trying to be smart (it is for small and all business) not sure if it is smart or stupid! Let have some discussion.

No!!! We will not register a company by that name!! It is for domain name only.

it seems a bit odd to be calling a company logo design to be honest, also as odd is having your domain name different to your company name - you should really sit down and think about this. I know realise what you are trying to do with the zeros instead of "o's" but it's just not working for me.

i'd also keep a tag-line instead of "logo design", i know your first wasn't that strong but "logo design" isn't working with the "LOGO" it just reads awkward "logo, logo design" is how i read it, doesn't say much about the company if you ask me.

We already have company name and logo for it. l090.net is not our company name... Thanks for your feedback! We have few products and services including, graphic label & packaging. We also do packing services. We will wait for more comments before doing anything for for the logo. Apple is a computer! However they have huge budget for branding. Looks like we will have hard time L090.NET as our budget is tight. We will take all input into consideration! Thanks!
