help w/ scanned sketch in ps

for my hw i have to take my drawin scan it edit it in ps and place it in illustrator and color it. when i have it in illustrator, usin live trace, the paths of my drawin has a lot of little pencil marks around it. i was wonderin in ps wat is the best way to clean it up instead of usin the eraser tool

Use your levels and contrast it will get rid of the light grey marks and leave just the solid black outlines

.....or use the vector tool to trace it manually and export the paths to Illy. Sometimes I find that much easier than the tracing tool.
