Default Ongoing Project

Hi all, this is a little project I'm dabbling with on an evening/in spare time. I'm not really "attached" to the design yet so throw all your suggestions up, I'm open to anything. Do tell me what you like as well though, don't be too harsh lol.

EDIT: There's hardly any content atm, cos I'm focusing on the layout first. AND it is only this page that works so far. Gonna perfect the layout before I go full scale.

first thought - wow professional or what?

second thought - i do not like the stripes

third thought - i love the typography for pr design, and i personally like the fact you cannot read it, but will other stuffy managers of small-time businesses who simply will not get it?

fourth thought - oh dear none of the other pages actually work properly, aha i see traces of an older site here, i prefer the new version...

fifth thought - well it looks rather slick but it has nothing to keep me interested long-term

keep up the good work!

Don't think I do, any alternatives?

Glad you like it, made it myself :) I'm going to make sure PR Design is plastered all over so people will know.

I forgot to mention that it is only a single page thus far

How about a background image similar to the one here (click on one of the two banners and see the tiling crown).

That's really nice Harry, although I'm slightly worried about the typeface too...

Yeah I know what you mean, I really want to keep the type but it just might not work. I'm trying to think of a way round it: keep the look and accessibility. I was thinking a :hover effect to switch the fancy typeface to a plain one, but that might be too tacky.

Some variations on the background:
1)

3)

What do you think? I'm at a loss at the moment so any/all suggestions are welcome!
