Default I Need Feedback!

I've been busy designing lots of websites and MySpace pages. Well, it's time I did a redux on the Sabre Design website. First of all, let me explain why the home page design is designed the way it is and you'll be able to let me know what I need to change before sending it off to be programmed.

1. We are located in a small mountain community and we want the website to look natural (not too modern or business looking).

2. We want our website to complement our existing MySpace page but we don't want them to look identical.

3. The portfolio will be a pop up with selections so that you can click on an item and it will appear in the top of the pop up box. But I'm also not sure that's the way to go. Any ideas?

Other than that, I don't really know what else to say.

Here's the URL (please give me feedback):

looks good, i like it. i think the side panel off the myspace (which is damn good too i may add) would look interesting on the new design, it does look a little square and standard in comparison to the myspace design. good stuff, nice earthy colours/textures

I actually used part of that strip on the lower right side of the new website. It's part of the menu. I like it too, but I couldn't figure out how to utilize the entire thing on the website.

Ok, C, in my humble opinion.........there is just way to much going on.........too many different fonts/sizes; too many images........I just clicked out of it........know what I mean? I don't feel there is much order.......don't mean to be "cold" about it......it's just that I felt very "cluttered" and I couldn't focus on any one thing. Does that make sense?

OK, I clicked on it again, just to see if I felt the same way, and yes, I did......I think you could benefit a bit more with some "white" space and some of the graphics you can do without.......again, just my opinion.......but, what do I know........

Just for reference sakes, with the exception of the banners for other companies, there are only 2 fonts used in this layout (arial and saddlebag). I'm also not understanding the size issue. In a basic website design with 3 columns, most have several font sizes due to sidebar items, menus and headers/footers and such.

As for the cluttered look, that's what I was going for, so that doesn't bother me at all. I want the feel of an artist's work area. It's the same feel I wanted when I designed our MySpace page. We always seem to attract more clients with the artistic look rather than a business look.

And Xpressions, could you tell me which graphics you like in general and which you would say no to? This will help me arrange things better. I really did have a difficult time with the header having continuity when I designed this and I'm not married to it. The banners have to stay. Thanks for the feedback.

BTW (Jeela)....it loads slowly because it's not optimized for the web yet...it's just up for review right now.
