The flash is kinda interesting from a coding perspective, i'd love to know how you made that. But it lags my machine every time it generates a new image.
Visually, it looks kinda 90s.

Thanks for the feedback. It's actually Javascript, not flash. The source is there under the GPL for you to look at.

I want to go for a clean design without flourishes. I'm actually looking to create something beyond the feel of current web design trends, so I'd really like to know what looks dated, and any suggestions you may have for eliminating that and moving forward. Also, what browser are you viewing it in and what kind of computer?

Ah yes, JS, so it is.
Well that whole JS thing is a flourish. It's not functional, it's interesting from a coding perspective sure, but it serves no purpose and doesn't look all that nice.
*edit* Pixelated images haven't really ever been all that popular. It also reminds me of the game of life from the look of it, which is ancient (well... 1970s)

I'm personally not a fan of white, blue, green, black as a colour scheme.
It just.... i dunno, it just looks like something someone would write up in MS word and save as a webpage.

You built all that code for a splash page, and then you put up a word document resume?

Obviously "tomorrow's function" is not going to be about basic user focus or coding for a purpose.

Programmers need to demonstrate that, for example, when someone asks to put up a four page resume site with a grand total of 200 words, they will not use PHP and mySQL for one very important reason. It's the same reason people don't usually cook hot dogs over repurposed jet engines.

Little hint: The tomorrow of yesterday is today. I think you're trying too hard to appear clever.
