It is difficult to offer feedback without knowing who the company / organization is or what they do.

Please elaborate.

That is exactly the problem, critique from other designers is very different from the comments you get from interacting with clients. And that's what you're getting cheated out of with contests.

Much of the time the client doesn't even know what they want or what a business identity is. ...Does it position the company against competition? ....Does it fit product or web site color scheme? .....Will it go on a company van? ....Do stakeholders have differing ideas about the image they want to project?

Read this post.

Nowadays, other than supplying an alphanumeric string, the client is irrelevant. It could just as well fit a catering, beauty, real estate, pet walking, personal shopping or other business. ...you want to grow up? Then the critique is simple: Get real clients that talk to you, disagree with you and can be persuaded by you.

I completely agree with the comments above. It's really not that easy to offer feedback and comment on your logo if one doesn't know what idea you would like to represent with it, what you'd like your visitors to understand looking at it, you see.

I agree with Jenni and Cfetherston, it is hard to comment on your logo as we don't know the type of industry and the type of message you want to project. At this moment in time the bottom two logos could be interpreted as logos for a cheap beauty salon. Sorry I could not be of any help.
