I'm a little confused as your company says website design but you quite clearly sell templates? And the use of all the tables in the first one slow the load time considerably, the design is ok on the first one it's just not built correctly.

Usability critique for CRT:
1. Make the Featured site thumbnails a link to view them (I know there is a link above the image, but people instinctively like to click on the images)
2. Make the Featured title clickable. Surely there are more (maybe from the past) featured sites! Let's see them!
3. Have a thumbnail image next to the Portfolio links on the home page. Users don't want to have to click through all those links to find a website they like. Also, once on the portfolio project page, make the thumbnail big! There doesn't seem to be a reason why it should be so small.
4. The latest templates and portfolio are the sections people are going to come to this site for. Don't hide them at the bottom! Feature them at the top and make them extremely easy to access.

Overall I think this site has a nice layout and it's fairly simple to navigate and understand. I would make the header graphic smaller, though. It's taking up too much valuable real estate above the fold!

Caricature site:
1. Don't center your text in the main column on the homepage! Too hard to read.
2. In the banner at the top, those categories should be links. Users will see those first and wonder why the navigation isn't working.
3. Generally (at least where I looked) the pages are pretty plain. Why not feature more of your drawings?
4. I don't think you need the table title in there. You already have a page title. The tables in the pages are also too thin. Why have all that extra blue if you're just going to center a small table in it? Do you really even need those tables? Why not have your text floating outside the tables, within the blue area? Add your drawings, wrap the text around them and I think it will look much better.

Both sites: people shouldn't have to select the last navigation element in the menu before getting to a page. Let them select the actual Product page link on the Caricature site. Let them select the Caricature page under that same navigation tree. On the page that comes up, explain the options they can select. Like from the Product page, tell them about the 4 different products (with links to more details on those specific pages). On the main Products > Caricature page, tell them the difference between those 3 types of drawings, again with links to the pages (and ask yourself if you really need n separate pages for each section. All the types of caricatures could probably go on just one Caricature page).

Both sites are clean, though I would add more graphics that highlight your work, especially for your drawing site. I would decorate more of your page with some past work. Remeber that images can drive your site's message better than text.

Personally, I like wider layouts, especially since very few users have 800x600 screen resolutions now. If you do choose to make it wider, don't make it strech 100%, fix it at about 850px or 900px.

Otherwise good
