Well, that kinda wood looks like the kinda stuff that people use all the time for DIY. It just puts images of woodworking tools, sawdust and that kinda DIY environment in my mind.
Maybe surfboards are made outta wood and that's why you chose it, maybe they're made outta plastic, maybe fibre glass, i have no idea, but it's not the internal construction of the boards i'd be interested in as a customer, it'd be the custom part of it. The designs, the shape, and whatever else they do to them that makes them so great. Perhaps it was that 'Craftsmanship' keyword you were trying to work into it there, but a plank of wood does not say "Craftsmanship", it says: "Plank". And of course there's the fact that the low quality image looks nasty.
