Friend's life insurance company recently changed their name from Acadia Life to Acadia Financial Group and are looking for a new logo. They received about 50 submissions, including one of mine, and now that I found this board I'm curious to get your opinion on my design vs. the current frontrunner. Let me know what you think.

2nd is nicer I think
I kind of like the 2nd one but it reminds me a lot of the ATT logo
number 2 for me
Number 2 also, but the fact that the white elements in the sphere are not evenly spaced out bothers me a little.
I'm leaning towards the second logo as well basing my judgment purely on aesthetics.
the keyhole is confusing for me in the first one. I like the second one but id be curious to see it with less stripes or just being less dramatic.
I prefer the second one, it looks more modern
