    Charity design mock-up

I have been working to create a new design for a charity organization here in the Netherlands. I really like this NGO and wanted to push my skills and create something awesome.

The organization (called LiveBuild) builds schools and hospitals especially in Cameroon, Africa. They make movies of each project to show people where there donation really ends up.

I created two mock-ups inspired on a blue print.

    Version 1
    Version 2

It is still a rough sketch and some parts have a really bad quality.

I would love your criticism and feedback to improve these designs.

    Thanks in advance...

I can't see any difference between the two? :)

Did you get the links wrong, or is it my eyesight? ;)

There just a minor difference in the header part. The first version has some kind of tabs with a dark background. I thought this was maybe a bit to much and removed it from the second version to make it a bit more simplistic.

Those links redirect to your front page. We can't see what you're talking about.

Of the two, I would go with the second one. I find the blue a bit over whelming though. The first one is too dark in my opinion.

Wow. It pratically screams "hire me, I'm a real designer" you can scarcely tell the site isn't about selling web design services. Good work.

The NGO looks like the budget gets blown on the shallowest of the frivolous. That kind of hyperventilatingly self obsessed image consciousness is bound to attract donations and volunteers. They sure spent their money well.

Now all that's needed is an address for where to write to get their funding yanked or launch an investigation into how they spend their money.

Thought the blue would be a bit to much. Going to work on that a bit more.

Wow, nice man. You really know how to put your mind in to words. I was asking criticism on the design, not on the NGO. I'm actually one of the founders of this organization and all our board members (including me) work voluntarily. I have worked at some of the biggest organizations in the Netherlands and I have to agree that the way they spend there money isn't pretty. We have done a tremendous job building our foundation with very little funds, volunteers and hard working to make it work. Were building in 3 countries now and have realized some great projects together with lots of people who helped us out.

I'm not here to promote the foundation tho, that's why i didn't say in the opening i was one of the founders. So let's continue...

I want to bring our organization to a next level and make something beautiful that people will enjoy. I'm not the best designer out there and that's one of the reasons I'm here. I want to learn, get feedback an suggestions from people with skill. I'm not afraid of being criticized, but i do have the feeling your shouting some shallow opinion which isn't based on the topic of the design nor the NGO.

you seem to be someone with skill and a strong opinion so i hope you can give me some constructive feedback to make this design better.
