    Personal Portfolio Mock-Up

You may have seen, or even commented, in my last thread and I will firstly thank you for that. I have had a second attempt at it, so this is what I have come up with.

As with before, ive gone for a clean, simple design (my favourite style). I have tried to remove the amount of gradients compared to the last one, and add a bit off colour!

I have just gone for text on the logo at the second, im working out how I can adapt my existing logo to fit the new design.

Your help would be appreciated again:

For me personally, its a little plain? For a designer I think a portfolio is the best excuse to show what you can do best creatively... and I'm not really feeling it with this.

If it has to be clean and simple, then the work has to really go WOW in your face to compensate...

I agree, and the whole Mac with the website on it, looks out of place. I agree that it is very plain as well.

I'm not sold on the design as a whole, but there's scope for some lovely type and CSS3 work there :)

That was my thoughts Harry, I would prefer a simple but perfectly made site, then make it something special as I go along.

How useable is CSS3 right now?

I will have a read up on it and see what its all about :)

It isn't fully supported therefore it is useless. Why make a site using CSS3 when you're going to have to go back to patch it up to support IE6 and older versions of Firefox, Opera et al? I'm all up for progressive enhancement with features but not for style.

Fair enough! It seems people are all mixed up over this, as you read in some places that its ready and fully-supported, but then in others that there is no point.

I think it depends on the specific effect / style you wish to use, would determine whether how much that CSS3 effect would be supported.
