I ahve to say - at first I thought it was a brillaint idea and absolutely fell in love with it-this was yesterday when I looked at it.

However today when I looked at it again It just become boring...admittidly, if you are using it to catch first time clients then its great - but as soon as someone checks back to the site a second time (or atleast in my case) I think they will find it boring and more of a hassle.

I love the general design of the "single website page" by the way - I think its great.

Maybe the scrolling feature could just be used on the "work" section.

Phil

One thing that strikes me about having one page portfolios is you limit the amount of landing pages for a site, I realized I was limiting my first logo site but having a portfolio only on one page like this one, which was one of the reasons I set up a wordpress portfolio to try and get visitors looking for the exact products I was selling and it's worked better than expected. For example...

construction logo design - Google Search

I have received 4 orders from construction companies via the new site because the page is telling the search engines exactly what the product is...

Catalyst Construction - Logo Design | UK Logo Design

The url itself contains an explaination of the what the page is about, this is one of the reasons people avoided flash sites for so long.

I like the style alot but I'm not sure it serves the purpose of getting people to the site enough. Also the sites been up 6 days and google still has the old cached site but it has indexed the forum post already and has good placement, it makes me wonder if google often files these sites when it spiders them as a limited site, one page not real updated content so it doesn't feel it has to visit as much, I've always wondered how much damage one page sites can do for visits, I could be very wrong but it's just the feeling I get.

I want to thank everyone for their posts, although the team were pretty happy with the outcome of the site, the 'boss' was curious to see what people's reactions were to the site and to ensure it was achieving the aims we had set.

So thankyou!

The tiny text version of your name on the front page looks a little off. But the sliding is good. Might cause a bit of a headache if you jump to far ahead though but a nice effect. I'd say though that while main navigation is vertical, the section navigation should be horizontal?
