Default Basics for Flash site

No Flash on this site yet, but please let me know what you think of the layout & feel. Panels on the bottom will be static, but will be updated with whatever deals/offers/news etc are relevant. The main panel will be Flash and so will the buttons. Was gonna make the background colour (outside the panels) a light grey to reduce contrast between the main part and the white.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Good feel! It didn't really tell me what it is you do, I was surprised when I read the blip about services. Perhaps a little more to tie it together with your work. IMO! Otherwise it's a nice clean feel.

Thanks!

I wouldn't know where to start with CSS but I wouldn't mind learning a bit about it.

I'll get some pics in there soon, if that's what you mean?

Seems nice. I'd perhaps tweek the gradients on sections to be a little more subtle and make the keylines between sections a tad thiner. I'd also drop some of the white glows or white drop shadows. - Should just tighten it up a little and ease reading of the content ( like the tag on your logo). I'd also try un-justifing your text at the bottom since the word spacing is odd. If might look worse, but since that is a image, you should be able to do something to that text in photoshop/illy/indesign to make it better...

Cheers I'll take that on board. Not sure about the text though; I agree it does look a little spaced out but I'm just trying to get it to fill the panel. I'll have a play about and see if I can get it looking any better.

That's fine but a few tweeks with the tracking, point size and word/letter spacing should yield a better result. Don't be afraid to use odd point values like 9.56pt if it makes the text better.

Thinking about this, if the white area in the middle was Flash, could I use xHTML and/or CSS to make the text of the buttons enlarge (or come towards you) on mouseover, and also have them control the Flash movie?

Try to work on the visibility of the text under the logo. You always want all your text to be readable especially within a header section.
