The courier font looks odd, but it's touching the side of the scroll bar

Firstly, really lovely design. I'd say you've reached your three goals.

If I may I'd like to offer a couple refinements.

Firstly, capitalize "F" in "Feedback".

I agree with the black top bar being heavy. You might try lightening the color.

I definitely want to see the white space neater between the bar and the four boxes, say, at least as much to the left of the blue box and to the right of the olive box as between the two. (Yes, I am a Virgo.) Also, save it as a "gif" with a transparent background.

And to echo the "too much white space" crit, I'd say take at least 1/3 of the horizontal space out between the logo/tag line section and the main body of the page.

Again, nice work!

Taken onboard and adjusted,

I like the detail you notice on the logo, never looked that hard, but your right it matters.

Many thanks,
John

I think you need to work on the space a little and have a bit of consistancy. Add some space under current projects, before the image, move the bullet point to be with the text. Then move less sapce between image and description or more between the top item and the second one.

In effect, the image and text should have one spacing, making it clear and easy to read. Then a wider spacing or division to show clearly that you have another item...

the white space is weird.

i do get a huge horizontal scroll bar, was this designed with a grid in mind?

Thanks for the comments, keep them coming as the site does change as i try different things out.

Pab,
the scroll bar has gone, that was a mistake with some weird width value on the h2. (gone now)

I never actually used a grid to get the positioning. but the arrangement of the elements was with the grid theory in mind.
