    Realistic Working Environment Logos

I've been registered here for a while but have always been too terrified to upload any work! Be gentle with me. We have four working environments at the college I work in, which are run for profit and also serve as training areas for students (cheap labour and all that). There's a floristry shop (which chose to keep its current logo), as well as a restaurant, travel shop and hair and beauty salons. These were done last summer during a total rebranding of the entire college, and aren't the ones I would have chosen myself, but I think they're ok and slightly better than the ones they had originally. With the Richlance one, they had opted for the aubergine coloured one, which stands out really well on literature etc. However, some moron decided everything should be brown now, to match the decor, so my logo now fades in with the tables and chairs.

    Comments?

Oh gawd please be nice to me!

I should really post the old stuff too, and maybe the brochure/leaflet/poster etc work I've used these on. Maybe if I can be arsed to upload it all!

    Cheers

    Sue

The restaurant logo is great really like that, the images one works ok, I think the eye could be simplifies a little more though.

Sorry to say the Global one is very far behind the others for quality, I'd start again on that it doesn't say enough to me.

there wasn't that bad was it?
A life? Cool where do I download one of those??

Firstly welcome back, don't stay away so long next time!

I agree with the points above the restaurant logo is really nice but the global one isn't quite doing it for me at the moment.

Assuming the global logo is the travel shop one I would research some travel logos, one's that work well and others that don't and work from there.

I'd agree about the Global one, actually, and that wasn't anything like the one I would've chosen myself. They chose it because of the coloured blobs which are supposed to be used to represent each service they provide (flights, hotels, business travel, car hire, currency etc). That - and the floristry shop one which I wasn't even allowed to get my hands on - is the one I'd like to change the most.

I'm so relieved! And apologies for not being around. I'm the only graphic designer working here, so the rebranding of the college was a monster project. I thought I was going to die at one point!

All worth it in the end when it's completed and you get your money ay?

Ooh money might be nice but unfortunately I'm on a flat rate! I'm supposed to enjoy the satisfaction, or something......

Yes travel shops are difficult to represent, so originally I went for something a bit funky with a blob which didn't really say anything but looked..... nice. I really liked the suitcases! I wanted to work on that one a bit more but I was stopped in my tracks. Always helpful when the bosses get in the way, eh?

And linking the 'g' with the 'd' was another option.
