mmmm you seem to have some mixed messages...

Templates for sale that aren't - affordable web design but not no examples other than templates...(unless that is what you do but it that the best use of phrasing for the site and what you do)

But main thing seems to be with a solid portfolio, why are you devaluing yourself with free work? What are you hoping to achieve?

I'm just offering free work at the moment to get some clients to come and see what I can offer them. Also free work to get some practice at banner / logo designs, as I have only really had experience in templates.

I havent set up my paypal for the templates to be bought yet, but if anyone does show interest in them then i will set it to sell a template to them.

Back to the drawing board... your logo is in such poor quality imagery, I can't hardly read it... I can't believe sell this crap.

Validate it.. the design should be in CSS & XHTML.. lose the tables.
It sort of looks like a template.. very boxy.

I like the colors and the simplicity, just you need to plan and execute it a bit more clearly and professional... esp if you plan on selling design. It would have been GREAT in 1999.

hehe, Tommy you are the reason I would never dream of asking for crit on a site with a single validation error! and this is a good thing because it means all my sites are compliant

To be honest I don't think that matters to me.. the clients I'm looking for are clients who I will work with to give them exactly what they want for low costs. They wont be bothered how their site is coded as long as it is what they want and I provide them with the best design and help I can offer.
