thanks for the suggestions. this is the kind of stuff I was hoping to hear. no matter how many times i rejudge my own work, i'm doomed to not think of something or just not "see" it the way impartial viewers (designers and public) do.

i did some some homemade business cards yesterday, and surprisingly they came out pretty nice for doing up on card stock i bought from the store and using my inkjet. I'll have to post them soon to see what y'all think.
