I know this probably sounds as if I'm being pedantic, but I'm pointing out because of the likely reaction you will get from others: HTML and CSS are not programming languages. Strictly speaking PHP isn't either, it's a scripting language, but most people would let that one go.

few things:
- Fade back your reflections to aid readability.
- The word 'passion' seems to hit the left margin and there is a double space gap after '(passion) for' - same on the 'portfolio page' - might be a firefox thing. **** I wish they'd just do one sodding browser.
- space before 'graduated'

Some nice work, I'd dump the 'technologies used' bit personally though...

hiya :)

I like the site..is simple to use and pleasing on the eye....

I would love to see some of your flair on the front page, a bit of colour..just to keep my eyes wondering around the site...some focus or interest to grab me...

Nice work :)

WEB - Your web designs seems to be very similar, both really text heavy. In this age great software and the freedom to create whatever you can imagine on the web, you'd probabally want to use some more different creative layouts, graphics, and/or photos...espically with a media company's site. Def. make a link to the finished published site.

PRINT- Only 2 projects/categories in the print section?!? This may not be what you are looking for a position in, but good and extensive print examples can demonstrate; working typography knowledge, color theory, heirachy understanding, layout/grid usage, information design, photography, and a slew of other essential design elements that employers look for.

OVERALL - Everything designed here seems to carry the same aesthetic, a grey and dark look. If this is your personal style, great, but try and leave that look where it belongs. My point, don't utilize your personal look when designing for a client. 9 times out of 10 it wont fit with their message.

(Front Page) Perhaps a direct parallel between your title typeface reflection and the title grass graphic would increase visual interest, just a quick thought.

When designing a portfolio, remember to include your best work. Let 'uncompleted pieces' go, employers don't want to see what could have been, rather works that have been pushed to completion from concept to production.

Perhaps think about including some ideation sketches, early concepts that built up to your final designs. Shows how you came to your final design decisions.

Think about personalizing your 'send message' button on your contact page. It's the little things that count. I know it's not complete yet, but these would be all things to consider when pushing this site to completion.

Nice work, can't wait to see the finished product!

Thank you. I actually posted what is up just to try and get a job now. After all the craziness wears off from losing my job and the other stuff going on i am going to completely redesign from scratch. I will definitely use the points you gave thank you.

What specific field of GD are you trying to get into? This choice should influence what pieces you choose to present in your portfolio.
