Have you tried changing the type face? Id much rather see that website with arial or verdana. Times new roman doesn't seem quite right for a website like that.

better. Far better actually, I still think that you're typography could do with some tightning up, the colon in your name for example looks off, I'd maybe play about with different fonts. I think a sans serif would work well with the style that you're going for. Maybe play around with the size of the name as well, one big one small or something like that. I dunno, just chucking ideas at you! Looking good though, looking forward to seeing it with content in place!

Maybe Just me but I find that using one Full Cap and then Small caps makes your design feel like it was using an incomplete font, and thus a slapped together design.

I like your redesign I think it is more interesting and is more your feel.
