Default Possible Logo Work

I was contacted last week and asked to provide a sample logo, to revamp their old one. The red wavy line is an important part of their logo and MUST stay, I was told. But other than that, they want wanted a clean, bright, professional looking logo and web page. (I get to do that if they like what I've done here...)

So, old logo:

New Logo:
(obviously ignore the crossed lines)

Any feedback here before I send this off to them?

Thanks!

Do they not mind you flipping the wavy line? If you can play with it a bit, i'd reduce the number of waves in it to make it less distracting, then remove the bevel you've put on it. It just makes it look like a red rope licquorice.
Not really a fan of the drop shadow you put in either.

Nice hcnage but I'de suggest you use fades instead of bevels for the reason stated above.

The wavy line in the original logo is a decaying sine wave. By flipping it in the way that you have, you have changed the sense of it entirely. I'm not sure your client will approve.

Lose the drop shadow and bevel without a doubt - are you doing this in Photoshop? Logos need to be put together in Illustrator / Freehand for a vector output

I would have the text line up on the left, and have the wavy line be the same width as the text

I had to go do a little homework just now. I did not know that's what this line was, they simply asked me to keep the line in the image. Thank you for pointing that out to me, it makes a huge difference!

I rather like the wave knocked out of the box. It gives it a bit more structure and impact than the wave by itself.

Based on that I would do something along these lines:
