Default Large Relaunch Project - Opinions Please

Hey guys,

We have recently finished working on a huge relaunch project, would like if you could take a look at it.

It was difficult for us to design because we are trying to appeal to two massively different demographics and this is the combined work of 4 of us all putting in different ideas. It launched last Friday so your opinions would be ace, especially if you could give it me as a pretend (or even real) business owner who is quite web savvy.

I have to say I really like, my kind of site, simple, functional I can't really give you many pointers, I find it spot on

Same here, very nice. Love that banner. Only possible thing might be to change the logo and text over on the flash. So logos are on the right instead of the left. As I initial thought the logo was yours, until it changed. Might just be me though.

Your login button appears under 'username' on my screen, which breaks the flow a little

I also think that the affiliate logos shouldn't be more prominant than your own.
The flash banner is nice but the affiliate.swf and affiliate2.swf files seems to be missing on those pages.

How did you make the swirl effect in the background? It appears to be an imported video created outside of flash, is that right?

Another flash thing (nitpicking) is that you seem to have multiple flash files for each page, some of which are used to stop the intro animation from re-playing. You could re-use the same flash file and pass in flashvars in each page to determine what will be shown on that page. That'll save loading time for users and save on your bandwidth too.

Thanks for the input guys :) I see what you mean about the branding I will speak with our client to see how he feels.

The flash movie thing is interesting, i didn't do teh flash stuff on here one of our newer guys did so I will speak to him about it because loading time is one of my biggest gripes with the site, it can be bad.

What browser you using Zumo, the button should not be there :(

Odd... why would FF on a mac be any different to a pc? Are all the mac users getting that problem too?

I like it... defo my style. What are you running on the backend? Looks to be some sort of CMS.

IF I had any constructive criticism, I'd have to say I'd like to see a fluid width and maybe some accessibility options thrown in.
