Default Overall Review

My site is Brian's Web Design - Temecula

Please take a look and tell me what you think. I have worked on the accessibility in the last week, and mostly curious as to if I did it right. The site was built using Yahoo!'s YUI CSS reset / Font reset / Base CSS.

Thanks for your time,
Brian G.

On the plus side the code all looks pretty neat, the site reads well on the grid. The real negatives are the logo couuld do with alot of work and the fact you still have default colours on your links is a little poor. Get rid of the default blue, visited purple etc and match them to your colour scheme.

(Welcome aboard by the way)

The grid and structure look good. The colours and links could do with a little tweaking.

Well, I think Tanicos may have seen new color changes in the CSS, but if "web 2.0" is considered a style, then I will probably disappoint you. It has been my understanding that web 2.0 is not about style as much as it is a description of dynamic functionality and service.

While my site may not be the most impressive in regards to design, it must be accessible and usable. While style is of some importance, I can't compromise what I consider to be most important.

I will continue to work on the site. Hopefully over time it can develop into something that everyone likes. I appreciate the comments / criticisms.

web 2.0 is considered a style only to the point of the function. Inherit to this, because certain designs fit web 2.0 standards, those site looks get used over and over. Therefore, their are certain 'looks' that have come up and stayed recently as a design trend.

Web 2.0 also refers to the links of how we use the web now. I.e. the move to viral marketing existing, social networking sites booming. This is what companies can mean when 'exploiting web 2.0'.

Tanicos, is there possibly a post where you are NOT promoting your website?
