Default The Snug - Logotype & Posters

Been working on this logo for a Bar/Cafe hybrid. The concept is for a comfortable contemporary feeling with a close, warm fuzzy glow to it. The logotype therefore needed to reflect a warmth and comfort. This will be used (albeit on the subtle side) on internal usage/posters/menus etc.

Thoughts?

It would be interesting to see it some slighty different colours and in situ also...

The 'nu' looks a little distracting for some reason. Maybe you could play on the fact that they are reflections of each other... Merge them a bit more...?

Agree. Other than that, the typeface looks really good.

It is interesting that you talk about reflections, as that is part of the route the internal logotype is going towards. I did try some merging, but it began to look too much like a 'M'. Again this is the case with merging the top part of the 'u' to the 'n'.

Caroline, this is only a concept for my portfolio in truth and not a full 'live' brief. Therefore the 'in situ' won't happen as yet. The logo is use will however happen.

Yeah, I was thinking about merging, but that it would look a bit confusing. It's a really nice logo though, great typeface!

I know what you mean about the 'nu' thing. I played around with it a bit, but came to the conclusion that it might just be the symmetry of letters. much like 2S form or too many lllll and iiiii
