Too bad about the Comic Sans... :)

I think the colors work great. They really work well with the type of business she has.

I've never been a fan of the diagonal object placement, like in the business name"Mis Estrellitas Childcare." I just don't think it's working, and I would rethink that a little bit.

The comic sans wouldn't look that bad just as a title but using all over doesn't add enough strength to the typography

If the client chooses the font, more often than not it ends up being Comic Sans! I think Kelly is right, maybe you could introduce something else to work alongside it?

I agree with those that have commented on the comic sans stuff. It should be minimal at most. The best way to do battle with a client is to do what they want and to do what you think you should be doing, show them both and explain your points.

If you are going with everything that the clients says our profession as graphic designers will never be valued. If people think that they know what is best with out having any kind of actual knowledge then it is your responsibility to explain why and give them the knowledge. I would never do something with comic sans (unless making fun of it, which is what the DESIGNER INTENDED the font for) because I would be ashamed to put it into my portfolio.

I get that it is your first job but you are being hired for you professional skills as well as your technical skills, YOU ARE THE DESIGNER and you know best.

Sorry for the rant I feel it is important that you don't sell yourself short.

I do think your color scheme and your illustration concept are good. and all together it is a nice clean layout.

I agree with this, - perhaps present a another version with a less comic sans to illustrate your point?

I think your totally right, this is something that I will try and show to future employers so this should be something that I should be proud of, you've reminded me of something really important and that is the fact that I was the one hired to design because otherwise I'm waisting my time.
Finally thanks working with this client has been hard due to the number of changes that I've made every time i submit a design but in the end this is just another challenge to better my self and my skills.
(sorry if that sounded really cheesy)

Often the clients paying less will demand more than those paying more. As a guide, you may wish to consider when quoting to allow say, 2 sets of amends from the client, and over that they will have to pay more. This means that they make all those changes in one go, rather than one and a time and that they have a really good look.
