yeah, i agree they are good reviews and think they are worth having My only reason for mentioning it was that i think it might just seem odd to a potential client who is unlikely to look at the dates and just see 2 reviews by the same person! maybe its worth asking people who you have done some free work for in the past, even friends/relatives for a testimonial so you can add them?

The 'playground' could be a basic set of pet projects with clear aims.

The aims should fit niche markets. Here are a few examples maybe:

1> A photographer/image based site, allowing users to cycle through the work on the site, and add it to their 'clipboard' for either general viewing or buying later as stock. Effectively this could mean users can create their own 'books' of the work they like on the site and then maybe get recommendations of other work they might like based on similar tags created by the artist.

Im liking that a bit more, change the colour of the "swirls" to the colour of the "flame" icon you use though, and maybe add that flame icon to the left of your name as well - then center the name and "new logo" ;)

I think it looks better, and i agree about the swirls... although i would maybe even be tempted to exchange the flames for something else, even just an orange circle, as they make it look quite 'gamerish' if that makes any sense! I'm not sure you even need a nav bar as there isn't an excessive amount of information, it is quite easy to scroll through.

I hear what you are saying but I need links to my blog and my page rank checker.

Lucidia Grande is mainly a mac font you need to be able to say, if the system hasn't got lucida use arial otherwise it will make your site display very old on windows systems when it's replaced by times
