Default pulsing spot

hey guys,

i am doing a logo for a client for her massage salon and she wants me to design her a new logo, her shop is going to be called ' the x spot' and one of her ideas was the have the text saying the X spot, the X being black and having a red spot in the middle that pulses, my question is how do i go about making the spot look like its pulsing??

it would be a great help if i got some pointers!!
thanks! simpletouch!

xD

if it's for web use only then you could do a .swf, .gif, or .svg... if she want's if for printed materials like business cards and such then you can't other than just some form of a static gradient.

Maybe for the pulsing spot you could look at those optical illusions where they appear as if they're pulsing and use that somehow?
