Default Saving loss files (jpg)

So, i understand that when saving a .jpg as another .jpg you will lose quality. But I'm curious, if you save as a copy, or save as for web, if that will bring the quality down as well?

It's a lossy compression, so I believe that you will always lose some info.

That it correct - every time you apply jpg compression to an image there is some loss. You can minimize degradation by setting quality to max - and then, when your ready to export for web, choose a setting to balance file filesize/quality (I usually find that about 60 works OK).
