Can you criticise my new logo please?

Way too much bevel and glow, try for a flatter image or use straight grads

I did wonder this as I uploaded it - what do you think of the overall design? for now im back sitting at photoshop!

I'm not quite sure what the globe is representing

well im not sure either toon!! I sat down with a penil and paper last night drawing a few design, will do them on photoshop tonight!

for now though, what do you think of this...?

They're much better but you shouldn't really draw up logo's in photoshop.

The best thing to do is break the ideas down into parts, work on a mark first in black only. Colours and fonts can come later but you want a recognizable mark that represents something.

I second that advice. Cook up your logo in vector (if you can), then raster it up for web/monitor later.

why exactly should I create logos in photoshop then? and what program should I use instead?

what do u mean by starting with a mark in black first?

work in black in white. After you have your logo developed to a point in B&W that it lloks good, then add colour, etc. This is simply a suggestion and is part of the (generally accepted) process
