New Book Design

I'm working on a book for a photographer who travelled to Spain last year. I have the front cover completed but I'm still working on the rest. It's a 40 page book, with some captions and lots of photos.

Let me know what you think of the cover.

I love the cover design, but the photos don't really grip me, without the words I couldn't pin down where you were promoting if you get what I mean

I totally understand what you're saying Toon, but it's actually just a giveaway, he won't be selling it. He also didn't have a lot of great cover photo selections that say Spain.

But I'll do another cover with some different photos and let me know what you think. He hasn't approved this one yet.

I wasn't having a dig, it's just without what you've done I don't see Spain, and there's so much dare I say 'travel tradition' to work with I'd expect to know without any text.

That look alright I would take photos of pamplona and with the bull race also pictures of the country side mixed with a bit of ibiza that's more the spain that appeals to the tourist from my point of view

The photographer only has photos of him with wine all over from the running in Pamplona.

Fortunately I don't have to worry about tourists since the book won't be for sale.

He's in Holland Christina and will be back at the end of the week, but knowing Toon he will find an Internet Cafe. I think he only flew out yesterday.

I like the second one far better than the first, the colours are nice and the images definately suggest a more Spanish theme.

yes, the 2nd one is a MASSIVE improvment, the 1st was possibly a little bare but the statue definitely brings it all together and the center photo is bright and much more spanishified. i like :D

I would like it better if "SPAIN" wasnt edge to edge on the pictures (the S beginning right at the pictures edge and such)

And if the horse statue was moved slightly to the left or right to fit between the N or before the N (I'm weird like that, more of a personal gripe than anything)
