Al'reyt guys, i'm in need of a bit of inspiration please...

i've been trying to illustrate my robologo as a hero but i can only come up with this:



it's supposed to be ' faster than a speeding bullet ' incase you can't read it, and i'm looking for any ideas you lovely, beautiful and needless to say talented people may have for me.

I kind of like the dude as he was, an icon/logo doesn't have to do that much. I've created logos for a long time and to be honest, when you first updated your avatar at the other place I assumed it was a cartoon character I'd not heard of. For an icon to give an impression like you've seen it before (even if you haven't) is bordering on a brand. A recognisable logo you associate with something.
For someone like me to pick up on the icon all that while ago I don't feel it needs that much changing or altering unless you're unhappy with it. It's your choice just know that when I saw it for the first time (only as an a avatar) it made an instant impact, it's hard to design or even refine something like that it just happens.

I'm not going to use this as a new logo, just thinking about using them on my site.

Maybe a different one on each portfolio page or something, you know

El, I really like this character. My thinking is, if you have a logo, while have him the same on everything? It would be really cool to have him change - maybe he is flying on the letterhead, standing proud on the business card, washing his underpants in the comp slip. (ok maybe not that) but I mean you really use him as a brand device. You could use stills or animations on your website with him in little storys.

Experiment. I think he has to much potential

Not so much the Stationery thing, but to have like a cartoon running throughout the site. Just looking for ways of illustrating leeping over tall buildings in a single bound and other superhero trates.

I understand it from a fun point of view, problem is I deal with soooo many old grumpy business men that might not see it as that profesional. No offence but man these guys are stuck up

well i think a balance can be met with the fun/corp side. maybe he does stuff when you move your mouse over him or click on him.

would be cool to have a load of text about your site and to click the guy to use extra ray vision to burn some of it or some such.

Seems fun but you're boardering on the CSSbeauty vs 2advanced war, what serves a purpose better a website that gets you where you want to be or a fun and games flash fest that people will talk about but users will get annoyed at.

It kinda looks like you're doing the matrix dodge bullet thingy?

Love the drawing, but maybe because of the effect/picture you're trying to get across, a view from behind might be better. So he's sorta bent backwards looking back at us, with the bullets zinging past his head/legs/arms etc?

If you were just trying to show him flying faster than the bullets -

Maybe having him facing the same directions as the bullets might work better, in the classic flying pose?
