The last 3 are my favorite. Im not into the "simple lines" kinda stuff.
Best of luck. Its cool looking at all your designs.

=] thanks guys
Hey Mack, i started learning illustrator a few months ago, but photoshop is what i know best in the adobe suite. Right now, in my work flow, i use illustrator as a "staging" tool and a geometry tool. It's effecientcy in high resolution is helpful too. I think i have a lot to learn in illustrator. Combined with photoshop however, it's been a really great tool even as a novice user. Thanks for the comment!
Hey Danny, thanks for the comment. Just so you know the various versions first posted, are not "complete" iterations but rather "sketches". Sometimes i like to toss around .5-1 hour works to get things going. You can see that, as i move forward, later versions borrow from prior ones (hopefully for the better). Refinement and Filtering..
The next things i want to do are re-insert the photography, and lesson all the "debris" so that it isn't so marginalized.

This latest one is starting to show some real maturity. Very very nice.
Sorry for the sudden stop in updates everyone. I got busy, and new versions were being cranked out by the hour. A lot happened, and this is the result. Thanks for all your comments. You may find it interesting to know that the first desktop 16:10 is a replica of the screen real estate you'd have on a 30" cinema display from Apple, or Dell. Does that kind of real estate make you jealous? It sure makes me jealous! =)
Final version for Package And Design Magazine www.package-design.net
-------------------------------------------------------------
Final desktop version for 16:10 ratio resolutions. I have designed this to fit the largest 16:10 screens, meaning it looks great on every single following resolution: 2560x1600, 1920x1200, 1680x1050,320x200
-------------------------------------------------------------
Final desktop version for 4:3 ratio resolutions. I have designed this to fit the largest 4:4 screens, meaning it looks great on every single following resolution: 2048x1536, 1600x1200, 1400x1050, 1280x960, 1024x768, 800x600, 768x576, 640x480, 320x240
-------------------------------------------------------------
Final desktop version for 5:4 ratio resolutions. I have designed this only to fit 1280x1024. This means it will fit QSXGA evenly, but will degrade. My research on QSXGA (2560x2048) led me to discount it as important to support.

That's really good-looking, Lyrics!
Talking about Illy, could you teach me some techniques?

Thanks Zaoris
I'm not sure if i have the time to teach you much, but i can always give advice about places to learn, and offer constructive criticism. I also have huge amounts to learn myself. The important thing is you practice a lot. The adobe suite, at least the core apps of it that you use, should feel second nature. This includes knowing most hotkeys by heart and instinct (instinct becasue the alt/shift/crtl keys often have logical modifers on other operations, for instance alt often modifies a command to skip a step or slightly tune it). Cheers mate
I know we're probably not supposed to swear in this forum but it's just ******* brilliant.
If there was some sort of "award" i could give out, for overall the best:
WIP to final results.. i would recognize you as the winner, but keep the award to myself.
