I really like this, and appreciate the by-hand aspects of it. While the bleeding might be frustrating, perhaps it can be worked to your advantage.

For example, taking this into an image editor such as PS and adding grunge which naturally transitions onto/into the Leopard's (it is, right?) bled areas might be interesting. Or, maybe those bleeds could be turned into/interpreted as a lack of focus; the cat being put into an environment where the focused transitioned correctly.

Nice piece, keep it up

PS: what were your instruments and paper type+weight?

Yeah I sat back and looked at for a while the day after I sprayed it and decided it wasn't too bad after all. As you said Allison, it gives it character!

Its sprayed on a bit of cardboard which I just sprayed with white spray paint but not too much so not to make it soggy and also to give it some texture. Its a 3 layer spray. I constructed each layer in illustrator, printed them out, covered with contact and with all the patience in the world cut them out with a scalpal blade. Patience is virtue when doing one so complicated like this. So many fiddly bits!!! One of my friends suggested I use spray adhesive on the back of the stencil, then wait for an extended period after you have sprayed that layer so it is completely dry then unstick the stencil layer. With any luck there'll be no bleeding and the paint won't rip!
