Comment the Logo

I’ve been asked to do a logo for a company called LD Travel. Comment on what is needed to be fixed or remade. Thank you.

I like it I'm not sure if the travel font may be unclear at small sizes but it works

Well, I feel your design very sad (black color, insipid green) and "Fuddy-duddy" because your old fonts from the 50's. When I saw your design I remember a disc jacket of "The Beach Boys".
From my point of view you have to use flashy colors and try anothers types.
I'm sorry Superman but I prefer to be honest with you.

Beware, that looks like the sandals (another travel company) font, could land you in trouble.

Thanks for your honesty David. I understand that the font is old, but I found that it suits a travel company. I will try to play around with the colors a little more and post it later. Once again, thanks for your comment.

SugarSpunSister: Never heard of that company.... Thanks for your concern, but the logo is for a local Philly company and I do not think that the two companies listed would ever come in contact unless the Sandals company is in Philly too. If LD Travel do not like the logo, or have concerns about this, I will do my best to redo it.

the palm seems over complicated

composition is not bad.
i have to agree with both crits. The complexity of palm tree is contradicting the circle's simplicity. yeah its looking sad... perhaps you could try orange (which symbolizes optimism).

I was thinking of suggesting to you to use orange too. Well, Cixxy mentioned it before I do. I also agree that the font is too...messy to be easily read and people to realise the palm tree represents the "L" in Travel.

Try to experiment with more colours and more fonts. Who knows you might have find something thats even more suitable that the font you're currently using for the logo? :)
