I don't like the date, it's one of the most important things and it didn't stand out but for some strange reason when I put brackets round it it looked 50 times better??

i don't know really, i wanted something new and i got bored of that one, now i have none instead..

Looking great. One thing you could try on the date is making the 2007 large and screened back green (similar to the treatment of "good" on back only not turned on edge) then upsize the rest of the date and keep the brackets and let it overlap the year. Might be a way to add a bit more interest to the date line and tie into backside as well. Just a thought.

Perhaps make the date the same gray as the background? The white-on-green doesnt work.
