personally i'm not feeling the typeface used, or the style its presented. Its too thick to be that close which makes it hard to read.

a suggestion(and only that): I think a thinner (35/45) weight with a wide letter spacing would look nice. It would give more focus on the work and not the title at hand.

But overall, its a nice piece. Whats the rest of the cd package going to be?

I agree with noant, I like the design behind but the text overlay doesn't really fit in with it. Too bold and simplistic, obviously it needs to be legible but could do with being a little more dynamic for me...

You have so much texture in the background and the design, the straight one-color font doesn't do it for me. I'd like to see some texture and a bit more spacing in the type.

The artwork is amazing, though! Really cool.

I think the font you chose works very well with the illustration including the fact that it is a little tightly kerned. If you use too fancy a font or try to spruce it up by adding additional variations of color, it's going to fight with the illustration and cause too much dissonance. The colors and font work well overall. I think the words in this case are not the primary thing you want the audience to see.
