that's the major headache though isn't it? I have a mate got paid £950 for a logo design that he thought, (and I agreed) was really s*it but the end user wouldn't listened and know what he wanted. You hardly gonna turn down the cash just because you don't agree with the way it looks.

If these people wanted a plant like this on their letter and have requested the guy to add it as long as he got paid good money for it who gives a s*it what a bunch of geeezers like us think, I think that's why you get alot of perfectionist designers who have nothing in their own portfolios because they spend so much time redesigning their own logo and their own site that they actually don't do any businesses. The amount of logos I've seen this guy do he's obviously getting the orders and getting paid so I can kind of understand why advice from us lot won't make much difference.

It's not my cup of tea in Red and I'm nopt a fan of plant swirls although I much preffered the black solid like paddy says to make it stronger but I get the point about being paid first and impressing other designers second.

You make a good point, I got paid a while ago for what is maybe the worst logo I've not just done but seen. Easy money as the guy knew exactly what he wanted and I just had to draw it. What happened was the opposite, I showed it a few designers as a bad example of logo design and they said they quite liked it! You just can't win sometimes, everyone has personal preferences but like you say the guy that pays the bill is the only one to impress.

I confused by your changes a little paddy, since you've said you liked it, and the kind of made suggestions to change almost every aspect of it...

But only a little. It's solid start in my opinion. Give it some TLC and it could be great.

I think I preferd it in solid black I could imagine it on matchboxes etc. Paddy why don't you draw up what you think it should look like and post it?

That's a really good idea Jo Jo I'm sure that Paddy would love to share his version of the logo with all of us, wouldn't you Paddy?
